He tried, he really did. When Andrew first thought up this show, he wanted to believe the cast he threw together would be nothing but patriots and agree with his sentiments about how America is great and other countries can shove off when they talk ill about his home.

After far too long, the boys have a thorough discussion about music.  Metal Jimmy and Dan join Chris and Andrew to discuss the resurgence of vinyl, the rewards of digital, and much more.  Andrew explains why he’s losing interest in Metal, Chris craves more compilations, Jimmy explains his love for a certain progressive band, and Dan picks on Muse.

Andrew, Ryan, Chris, and Jack talk about last year’s devastating massacres in Colorado and Connecticut.  They all have plenty to say about their stances on gun control, public safety, and the state of America in the wake of these tragedies. While there are still laughs, this episode has more of a somber tone than usual, as expected.

The first in a two-part series of shows, this episode was recorded the night before Hurricane Sandy made landfall in New Jersey.  Ryan, Jack and Cory sat down to make light of the time leading up to the storm, not knowing the devastation which would strike the East Coast in the days that followed.  The effects of the storm will be further discussed in the next episode.

The boys have a chat about their favorite villains, creatures, and other bringers of terror.  Ryan continues his support of the zombie apocalypse, Andrew shows his love for those nighttime neck-biters, Jack points out tasteful film remakes, and Cory discusses some of the most terrifying video games.

Recorded prior to July 20, this episode recaps several news stories from the past month.  Natalie joins Jack and Chris for some chatter about two part film finality, TomKat’s split, the Seaside jumper, and commentary about the state of the country as the presidential election looms.  Chris plans a male slant on “50 Shades of Grey,” Natalie owns up to her TV show addictions, and Jack questions the world’s need for sharks and alligators.

To celebrate the conclusion to the Dark Knight trilogy, Jack, Cory, and Chris reminisce about the current and previous incarnations of Batman.  Don’t worry: this was recorded before the guys saw “The Dark Knight Rises” so there are no film spoilers here.  Listen as Jack brags about owning all the Batman toys, Cory repeatedly spews hate at Joel Schumacher, and Chris questions the sudden rush for a big budget Justice League movie.

A new episode means a new euphemistic title!  Listen to the guys ramble for another hour of laughs.  Andrew calls out trolls but encourages self-love, Chris refuses to take part in “Rock” even though he assembles his ultimate band, Jimmy switches the eyes of famous women while dreaming of The Metal Olympics, and Jack continues to avoid video games and hate on famous musicians.

It’s a time to celebrate independence, so it’s no surprise that Chris applauds the success of the new fan-funded album from Ginger Wildheart.  However, it is also no surprise that many other things get picked apart: memes, Instagram, sports team front runners, dumb ways to get high, and a seemingly valid reason to hate Gavin DeGraw.  At least the guys take a moment to fondly remember Surge.

For the first time in show history, three actual gamers get together to yammer on about video games.  Listen in as Cory tries to talk as much as possible about E3, Jimmy makes sure no one stays on topic, and everyone’s favorite guest, Dan, repeatedly talks about the male member.

Yup, this one is all about money.  The guys banter about all sorts of dealings with finances, from the complications of credit to outrageous overdrafts to the mystery of investing, but not before they recount the simple days of spending pocket change on bubble gum and baseball cards.

The Summer blockbuster season is now in full swing, so it seems only right for the Warriors to sit and talk about what will be hitting your local mutliplex over the next few months.  Jack guides Chris, Ryan, and Cory through this year’s releases as they all pass judgment on the fate of the Summer cinema (and try choosing an appropriate Wonder Woman).

The second year of your favorite podcast is already half over, so that means it’s time for another collection of outtakes.  That’s right, 70 more minutes of screw-ups and missteps by the seven Warriors and their various guests.  Everyone stumbles while attempting to start the show, trains of thought derail, and nobody can seem to close the show after babbling on for so long.  Yes, listeners, this is all the stuff you weren’t supposed to hear from episodes 54 through 80.  Proceed with caution.

The boys can’t resist a cheesy tie-in, so here is an entire hour about their favorite decade.  It’s impossible to squeeze everything they have to talk about into one episode, but they manage to span the gamut of topics anyway.  Hear how young Ryan fantasized about Jessica Rabbit, listen as Jack hates on New Wave, absorb how Chris taped everything on TV, and gasp as Cory remains frightened of the universe’s most beloved extra-terrestrial.

It’s time to play the music, it’s time to light…well, you get it.  The crew is joined by Natalie for a chat about the world of The Muppets, from their early love of Sesame Street to their affection for the prime time specials and all the way up to the latest movie, along with plenty of banter in between.  Remember, this is an uncensored show, so just because it’s about puppets doesn’t mean it’s safe for kids (“Unstrung” anyone?).

After a long wait, a new music episode is finally yours.  Dan returns and joins Chris, Ryan, and Andrew, who begin with the similar origins of punk and heavy metal, and move through the music of their lifetime, all the way up to this year’s Grammy awards.  Ryan shows his affection for emo, Chris mocks him for it, Andrew continues to be a font of misinformation, and Dan is funny as always.

The guys struggle to stay on topic while further bantering about the infinite differences between men and women.  Women’s habits are discussed at great lengths, along with ludicrous car insurance rates, gender roles in religion, the trouble with porn, gaseous social situations, and the chronic muploading of dog photos.

In an age when everyone wants to be (and seems to be) famous, it only makes sense to examine how this happens.  The boys take a look at when fame goes wrong: the overexposure of reality show “stars,” celebrity endorsements, grossly overpaid stars, the declines and deaths of world famous addicts, and many more areas of infamy.

In the final installment of the “newcomer” shows, Ron takes reign to tell his (rather detailed) story and how he has come to know The Warriors. Special guest Natalie Jane joins the fray to help disect the amalgamation that is Ron’s life, including growing up kosher, pimping his physics homework, and being called lazy for his 3.9 GPA.

In the second episode of the noob initiation series, Ryan, Cory, and Jack sit down with the infinitely patient Metal Jimmy as he opens up about his intolerance for poor grammar, his fear of ghosts, his love of heavy and progressive music, and how polite criminals can get away with theft on his watch.

Oh hey!  In the first episode of a themed series being released over the next few weeks, Chris, Jack, and Ryan sit down with Cory to talk all about him.  Hear about how the guys first met Cory, along with stories about his bad karma from skipping school, useless coworkers, and his very checkered history as a pet owner.

Valentine’s Day is upon us, so it’s time for a few of the boys to show a different side of themselves.  Ryan and Chris are joined by Jenn and Gina (their respective girlfriends) for an open conversation about relationships.  Dating, gifts, anniversaries, flowers and all the mushy bits are discussed at great lengths!  Annoying habits get exposed!  The ladies explain what it’s like dealing with these geeks!  Exclamation!

Chris, Jack and Ryan devote an hour to celebrating one of the most beloved film franchises in cinema history: Ghostbusters.  The guys explain how they got into the films and cartoon, discuss their insatiable appetite for toys, interview fans at recent screenings of the first film, and ponder the ever elusive third installment.

Due to a technical issue, the recording quality of this episode is lower than usual, but the entertainment quality is fully intact.  Join Chris, Ryan, Cory, and Jenn as they discuss rational and irrational fears as well as scary movies and paranormal TV shows.  Listen in as Cory gets frightened by video games, Ryan fears being eaten by arachnids, Jenn runs from strangers, and Chris explores an abandoned house.  Happy Halloween!

After much deliberation, the five hosts each choose three guests they would like to have on the show, which is met with much humor, flourishes of curiosity, and minimal debate.  Also, Chris speaks about unlikely superstitions, Cory fights a domestic disturbance, and Andrew helps Ryan with his infestation.

Cory joins Andrew and Chris to discuss a random array of topics such as Wall Street shenanigans, playing games with friends, the death of Steve Jobs, and the lack of need for another “Human Centipede.”  Cory also opens up about his latest (and costly) obsession.

To kick off the second year of The Only Podcast That Matters, the founders celebrate Chris’ advancement into a new decade as he shares his thoughts, opinions, and warnings about life as he sees it.  We finally get explanations about such topics as when Chris thinks it’s time to start a family, the reasons he avoids alcohol and sports, reflections of a time when music was better, and how he acquired so much stuff.

After nearly six months, the boys have assembled another hour of misdirection and unfocused conversation.  All the recent guests help with poorly coordinated false starts while endings remain as much of a struggle.  And then there are the arguments, tangents, distractions,…you get the idea.  This is 22 episodes worth of outtakes (and then some).

It’s time to celebrate the first year of The Warriors’ aural assault on the world!  Our four heroes gather to discuss all things from their first year of podcasting while looking ahead to the future of your favorite dot-com.  There’s no reason to babble on about all that stuff here in the description.  Just listen to the show!

Take an audio adventure to Los Angeles with Chris, Jack and Ryan as they talk about their first group vacation.  Hear about all the experience and wonderment as the boys visit theme parks, tour movie studios, hobnob with rock stars and celebrities, and eat until they pop!  Where else can you get such a quality Left Coast experience in less than 95 minutes?  That’s right…nowhere but here!

50 is supposed to be a golden anniversary, right?  Probably not for this show.  The conversation sure is golden, though, as yet another newcomer, Jenn, tries to contribute to the discussion while Ryan hates on a national sandwich shop chain, Jack hates on bacon, and Chris finds hair in his food.

In this six-contributor super-deluxe episode of the show, the boys are joined by Ron and newcomer Gina to discuss the Major of Education with a Minor in College Experience.  The team speaks about rating their professors, facing the reality of student loans, and argue the merits of those nonsense seat-filler classes which even Ryan can’t get an ‘A’ in.

This Summer saw a rise in reunion and co-headlining tours, many of which are spoken about by the boys, along with talk of their aspirations for reissuing out of print albums, the absurdity and validity of plagiarism lawsuits, a new found obsession with purchasing vinyl, and the continued deterioration of rap music.

Prepare to gasp and wince because this show is all about injury!  The boys talk about their worst accidents in as much detail as they can describe.  Andrew knocks Ryan out, Chris gives a verbal autobiography which gives way to his two main injuries, and Jack proves time and again what a careless and resilient child he was.

The guys head back to the old grind with more tales of getting paid to deal with people.  The pain of working in customer service is discussed at great lengths along with asking how people like their driving and a general incompetence when it comes to signs and labels, except for one guy labeling Ryan as a bastard.

Tune in for discussions on the latest news as filtered through the opinions of Andrew, Veronica, Ryan and Jack.  All the hot topics of recent weeks are covered like the continuing success of the boy who lived, the legalization of people’s relationships with each other and drugs, a public ban on children, the accused going free, ever-changing technology, child support, death…oh yeah, and a guy tries to cut out his own hernia.

Cory, Andrew and Ryan wax comedic about what cracks them up.  From standup and late night shenanigans to internet channels and prank calls, the boys reflect on growing up with comedy and everything they find funny nowadays.

Chris, Ryan and Jack welcome the return of their friend Dan, who gets topics whipped at him for an entire show.  Hear Dan’s thoughts on bathroom etiquette, disaster movies, everything bagels, fictitious car parts, and the lack of a true final “Fantasy.”  Most of all, don’t miss the epic battle of wits about which “Transformers” film is truly classic.

The absence of one leaves three: Chris, Andrew and Jack, to be precise.  The boys spend the hour babbling about the resurgence of vinyl records, summer skin, the loss of music television, and going to the eye doctor.  Yup.  A whole hour about this stuff.

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away….oh, never mind.  The guys finally talk about cinematic sagas featuring talk of jedis, hobbits, superheroes, and a boy who lived.  Andrew and Jack geek out on “Star Wars,” Chris throws in what little he knows, and Ryan remains angry at J.J. Abrams for completely unrelated reasons.

All work and no play makes The Warriors angry.  At least they have an audience to vent to.  The best and worst of working for a living is discussed in great detail, from nagging bosses to needy coworkers to demanding customers as they share stories of retail ridiculousness and construction chaos.  Punch out and tune in!

Score some achievement points with Andrew, Ryan, Jack and Cory as they discuss the best video games their childhoods had to offer.  The boys side scroll through their distress about their princess being in another castle, the enjoyment of gruesome fatalities, endlessly searching for the elusive blue shell, and the omnipresent fear of the Red Ring of Death.

In an attempt to record a non-vulgar show, the boys employ a swear jar and put it to good use while talking about their week.  Jack handles a highly sensitive situation at work, Ryan discovers the truth about mee krob, Andrew wrangles a human eclipse and a checkout clerk, and Chris is accused of being jealous for not being born this way.

After a treacherous New Jersey winter, Summer has finally come to the Garden State.  That’s right.  The boys babble on about beaches, boardwalks, barbeques, babes, concerts, vacations,…well, you get the idea.  Jack rubs his privileged childhood in everyone’s faces, Ryan plans to spend at least a month in California, Andrew attacks the guido nation while reminiscing about $3 hot dogs, and Chris refuses to give up the jeans and boots despite the heat.

In a drastic change of pace, the Warriors get topical and discuss current news, or at least what appeals to them.  There’s much talk about the proper way to prepare for The Rapture as well as the increasing multiplication of the T-800, Andrew and Jack salute a macho legend, phones get even smarter, tornadoes and obnoxious gas prices cause devastation, all while tweets and apostles offend in one way or another.

Crank up the volume because it’s time to unleash the fury!  Chris and Andrew are joined by Metal Jimmy as Ryan probes them about what’s great and ungreat about the mighty music known as Heavy Metal.  Whether you protest heroes, dream in a theater, slay, wish at night, run wild, or have the force of dragons, this show covers them all.  Up the irons!

In the third installment of the ongoing FilmCast series, Jack, Ryan and Andrew talk about the new releases of the summer and rumored films of the future.  From pirates to Natalie Portman to being “Bourne” again, excitement rules the hour as Ryan yearns for more blood-hungry vampires, Andrew gives grief to superheroes, and Jack insists one franchise is more than meets the eye.

The guys are once again joined by Metal Jimmy as they praise the ladies they not-so-secretly yearn for.  Celebrity and real world crushes are revealed, along with strategies on first moves and first dates.  Heartless mallwalkers try avoiding love, the alpha male bags the babe, love notes are written, and an unsuspecting passerby finds herself torn (literally) between two men, all in the name of love.

Maybe this show should have gone up on 4/20.  Oh well.  Listen in as the crew talk about all manner of drugs and addictions including their allergy medicine intake (exciting), the harmful side effects of prescription drugs (leakage), the socially-acceptable drugging of children (scary), drug awareness advertising (harmless?), man’s fear of seasonal birth control (yikes!), and a meeting with Captain Steve (Jamaica).

It’s Team Heaven versus Team Heathen in an epic battle for your soul!!  Actually, three of the guys are joined by Veronica and their friend Joe for an adult discussion about religion and their personal beliefs and observances.  Listen with an open mind or be damned.  Or blessed.  We’re not sure yet.

At last, the first collection of outtakes has arrived for your listening pleasure.  If you are new to the show, it may serve you well to listen to an actual episode before diving into this mess.  Hear the best of what the guys left out of the first 29 episodes, from deleted tangents to false starts, as well as ample proof of Ryan’s inability to open and close the show.

For the first time, three of the founders do a full-length show!  Andrew, Jack and Chris follow a real stream of conversational consciousness, chatting about Jack’s epic beard, portable tanning machines, porn, car trouble, double standards at clubs and parties, porn, endless snowfall, fat people, porn, Disney boobs, furries, and…oh yeah, porn.

Recorded in late 2010 following a Harry Potter binge, in this episode, the guys share their thoughts about the theatrical releases of Summer 2011 while questioning the reasoning behind 3D everything and franchise reboots, all while being frightened of Tim Burton’s animation, getting confused by the “D” in Disney, and somehow slamming televised poker tournaments and golf.

With only days until the biggest event in sports entertainment, this episode is a discussion of (you guessed it) professional wrestling.  Dan Hasse of the band Stolen Rhodes joins in this week to discuss wrestling and give his predictions for WrestleMania XXVII, while Andrew cuts promos and Jack not only remembers everything, but does impressions of various superstars.  Kick off your WrestleMania weekend here, and if you’re not down with that we’ve got two words for ya…but you already knew that.

In this episode, the guys jump subjects frequently as Ron sits in for Ryan.  Chris shows much love for Lemmy and much contempt for Britney, Ron goes through alcohol testing, Jack confesses his crack-like addiction, and Andrew and Ron’s diets are compared using both reasonable and extreme studies.

After nearly half a year’s worth of shows, you can finally hear the sound of one crumbling.  Cory joins the guys for an amusing conversation about traits they’ve picked up from their parents until it all goes off course about 30 minutes in.  Jack gets befuddled by three pancakes and eggs, Chris learns what a carabiner is, and Ryan loses it when Andrew says certain words in a certain voice.

As you may have guessed, the guys humorously dissect and analyze phrases, pronunciation, vocabulary and everyday expressions we all use and our motives and reasoning for using them.  Andrew, in particular, puts forth some expecially nucular thoughts.

The guys revisit the wonders of TV, as Andrew loses patience with his wife along with those of other cities, the Gleeks pleading their case once again, Jack makes several comments not for the light of heart or heavy of step, all the guys count beyond 18 kids, and the exploits of a fictitious murderer are enjoyed as much as the latest exploits of an infamous actor.

One founder is absent so Ron returns to sit in and converse about dating and its trials. Jack tells us about being rejected from e-harmonization, Ryan tells favorite joke, and the boys discuss dating websites, the pursuit of balance in a relationship, the high price of dating in Vegas, the inclination of texting over calling, and we are taught about a playlist which guarantees women will take their tops off.  You heard it here first.

In the early 21st Century, social media has changed the way we interact…for better and worse.  The team waffle on about the evolution of social networking, along with its merits and shortcomings.  Whether it’s about having some “space,” a “book” for the faces of family and friends, public cries for attention, location announcements, officialness of a relationship and status updates, Chris, Jack, Andrew and Ryan will surely rattle some interactive cages with their perceptions.

Everyone has music they can’t live without.  Listen as the guys take an awfully long time discussing what albums they can be happily stuck with for all eternity.  Andrew selects only nine albums despite being given an allowance of ten, Chris (to no one’s surprise) spends half of his list in the 80′s, Ryan jumps from classic rock to comedy metal to modern rock, and Jack further dedicates his time to the best of the best, even if David Lee Roth isn’t the best…

If you’re already a fan of Ryan’s humor, you’ll surely enjoy this show.  If you aren’t a fan of it, this episode surely won’t turn you around.  Chris, Andrew and Jack hurl subjects at Ryan so he can offer his inflated opinions about numerous topics including PETA, vegans, UFC, college hippies, Justin Bieber, “real” housewives, political figures, various celebrities, old people, rappers, boobs and many more of his array of hot buttons.

Everybody loves video games, right? Well, not really. This week, 75% of your normal hosts are gone, only to leave Andrew at the reins. Not to worry, though, as he gets help from his fellow gamers  Ron Berkowitz, “Metal” Jimmy and Dan Hemphill. Much is discussed, such as “ninja-ing” loot, how easy it is to get achievements in any Madden football game, and the group reminiscing about systems of their childhood.

Despite a barrage of distractions no thanks to their phones, the crew manages discuss their amazement with technology at its finest.  Hear lamentation over the demise of VCR’s (especially when suffering at grandparents’ houses), befuddlement over the need for tweets over the need for medical attention, much raging against the iLifestyle, and how humankind has more ways to communicate than ever before with far less to say.

How would you create your ultimate playlist?  Maybe you already have.  Listen as the guys discuss what makes up their ideal hour of music.  To no one’s surprise, Andrew clocks in some major epics, Ryan is perked up by sappy music, Jack cobbles together the greatest of “Greatest Hits,” and Chris pops and rocks his way through audible bliss.

To kick off the new year, the boys reflect on the podcast and website thus far and give a shout to their number one fan.  As they analyze the past year and expectations for the new one, you’ll hear the crew discuss the annoyances of football fans on Sundays, pine for the return of aggressive vampires, rally for a boy wizard to stay two-dimensional, praise the genius of 90′s rap, as well as struggle to find things to rave about.

It seems appropriate for the team to discuss food during the most food-centric time of the year.  Listen as food is discussed at great lengths by the boys and their special guest Metal Jimmy.  It is highly recommended you do not listen to this show while hungry.  If you do,…well, that will be at the peril of your waistline.  Happy 2011, all!

In the first of what will be an annual celebration of Xmas with your favorite podcasting family, so many holiday oriented discussions occur: thoughts on Santa, the joy of fake trees and the annoyances of real ones, Jewish Christmas albums, socks and underwear, holiday parties in barns, and so much more.  Listen as Ryan and Chris imitate Ahnold, Jack and Veronica hate on Dominick the Christmas Donkey, Andrew has a look at Veronica’s “laptop,” and the pains and joys of the holiday season are shared in this very special double episode.  Merry Xmas, all!

Jack rarely gets mad, but after a certain female coins a phrase while insulting him, he has to sound off about it.  Ryan also waffles on about a past summer romance, as he and Andrew explain how they “broke up” for a short time.  Chris offers nothing but sarcasm and verbal daggers hurled at the offending females.  Pizza hopping, drunken texting, geocaching, and vegan Kosher delis are all bandied about.

As much as The Warriors love women, there are countless things they cannot stand about them.  Some lamentation is expressed, along with much anger, all while Andrew debates handbags with the omnipresent Veronica, Jack learns he has issues, Chris opens doors, and Ryan has the misfortune of colliding with both a car and a motorboat.

The guys certainly love movies, so much so they had to bring in a special guest for this show.  Timeless classics, cinematic abominations and guilty pleasures are all discussed erratically, in addition to imitations of the cast of “The Expendables,” the handiness of apps which access movie databases and translate unintelligible dialogue, sparkling vampires, and the joy of a galaxy far, far away.

Listen as the gang reminisces about the many shows and cartoons they grew up with, got away with watching, and even a few modern shows they enjoy.  Keep your ears open for old-timey terms like VHS, Snick and Goodfeathers.

Who doesn’t love pets?  The Warriors certainly do.  Listen as they discuss the annoyances of Andrew’s quadrupedal children, pets who have passed on, running from smoking dogs, and excessive cat ownership.  Beware of references to human anatomy as resembling certain type of animals, kids.

For Lucky #7, in celebration of their first wedding anniversary, Andrew’s wife Veronica talks with the crew about their courtship, wedding, the future, and married life in general, all while Andrew is well out of earshot.  Hear tales of revenge, bad dreams, pre-wedding jitters, Andrew’s Bachelor Party, attempted murder, eating habits, and general fears and excitement about reproductive acts and their results.

This week, two Warriors describe their venture to New York City to see Iron Maiden and Dream Theater at Madison Square Garden on July 12, 2010(this show was recorded two days later), including the events which led to their attendance as well as the afterglow.  A fallen hero receives fair tribute, movie memorabilia is observed, the word “awesome” gets incredibly overused, and more modern music and New Jersey musicians are both lauded and attacked.  NOTE: this concert was to be the last performance with Dream Theater featuring drummer/founder Mike Portnoy.  So there.

This week, the show expands its gender participation! Andrew remains largely absent as his wife, Veronica, fills his space for deep conversation regarding movies and TV shows which cause the rest of the guys to cry.  Chick flicks are damned, hospital dramas are mourned, emotion rules the hour but, as always, hilarity ensues.

This week, The Warriors discuss names of all sorts: baby names, middle names, names that climb on rocks… Plus, at no extra charge, all listeners are treated to random tangents about dining with ninjas, hair styles of the past, and buffalo wings in heaven.  One minor note: Chris’ volume is drastically lower than everyone else’s in this episode.  This may or may not have been intentional.

In Part 1 of a continuing theme of shows, music, both good and bad, is discussed at great lengths; as The Warriors make no bones about bashing a well-known New Jersey celebrity. Basically, Andrew praises metal, Jack gushes about anything released in the 80′s that has a guitar in it, Ryan professes a love of emo, and Chris talks the most (as usual).

We are four men who regularly provide an equal amount of praise and bitching in our daily lives, much to the dismay of our friends and loved ones. Here we will provide a weekly dose of our fractured perceptions on life and reality as we see it.

As explained in our debut episode, which we bring to you this (in)glorious day, the four of us have been discussing the world at large for so long and entertaining (as well as bewildering) those around us, we wanted to put our conversations to practical use and air out our opinions for the inhalation of the collective internet noses.
